When I read the article Implementing Blogging in the Classroom from LangWitches, I discovered that anyone can blog and it’s easy to incorporate blogging and technology into the classroom. It opens up windows for other teachers, parents, and the students to interact with each other outside of class. It also gives the kids a sense of responsibility, and creativity when they have to write their own blog posts. The parents also get to get more involved with the class, they can see what’s going on, and whats going to happen possibly in the classroom. It’s also a good connection site to look at other’s blogs and get ideas from other classrooms.

Mr. C’s Class Blog is one of the blogs that I came across while googling  for classroom blogs. His blog site was very interactive and lots of videos and links on it. It had lots of pictures, it had a link to each individual student’s own blog site, it was sorted by year, month, then date, and had the weather, it is really cool.

Mr. Miller’s Classroomwas another blog that I came across. This one was very interesting and cool. He’s a history teacher in California, and his blog site sure reinforces that. He’s taught different grade levels besides 7th, but that’s what he’s teaching now. He has many links to different blogs, from different classrooms. He posts about technology and how he likes to incorporate that into his classroom, and all these other neat things.

Miss T’s Classroom is the 3rd blog I came across and she actually teaches in New Zealand. Miss T has many videos of the students on her blog, and many links to other blogs, and the student’s blogs. She also has part of the side bar sectioned off into different subjects, like Religion, Math, Music, History, Health, Art, Games, and others. She’s very well organized, and creative.

Blogging in my future classroom. I’ll do that, most teachers I see now have their own website with posts on it. It may not be a blog site, but it’s an Edmodo or something similar to that. By the time I get out in the field it will most likely be mandatory that I have a website or blog to keep everyone updated on whats going on in the classroom. It’ll be easier to post all the homework assignments on there, different projects the kids do, and all their websites as well. I’ll do the best I can to effectively integrate blogging into my classroom.
